ECO-TECH Latest Eco-home technology at The Walled Garden Ground source heat pump technology heats Walled Garden homes as well as providing domestic hot water. This technology uses heat from the ground via a borehole and heat exchanger which can save up to 75% of your fuel bill as well as reducing your carbon footprint. In addition, Walled Garden homes will have a rainwater harvesting system whereby rainwater is recycled for garden watering and toilet use to help financially and ecologically! |
The Walled Garden is for those who aspire to 'eco-friendly' luxury living in their own cottage in a traditionally peaceful Cornish hamlet. Eleven (see 2, 3 or 4 bedroom plans) traditionally designed and constructed cottages create the feel and atmosphere of old-world charm and country values without compromising modern day comfort. Ground source heat pumps tap into the earth's thermal energy to provide heating and hot water while black granite work tops, Italian tiling and stainless steel kitchen appliances set the contemporary scene. Our customers may, subject to our construction programme and cost variations, select and make changes to our specified fittings. The cottages are designated as holiday homes with 365 days per year permitted occupancy as a second home and with the benefit of a full management and caretaking service. The latter will help maximise rental income should owners decide to let their cottages for holiday use. We can also cater for those requiring a share of an individual property where responsibility and ownership is split between up to 10 other owners with a management company looking after all care and maintenance duties for your cottage. Situated within the Camel Estuary area - arguably the South West's most exclusive coastal playground - the Walled Garden is perfectly placed to benefit from the continuing rise in the UK domestic holiday market. With Newquay airport just 30 minutes away, connections to London and beyond couldn't be better. Each cottage is constructed to marry tradition to contemporary design, with the highest standards of fittings and finish. Cottages vary in size and design to suit families, couples or individuals. Some have conservatories. |
Each cottage has a well appointed and equipped kitchen area, allowing you to be self sufficient if you prefer. Alternatively, you can benefit from the facilities in the adjacent Tredethy House Hotel, which has a fine Italian restaurant and bar (opening in Easter 2008). |
